We are representing a leading global multinational corporation with decades of industry leadership and a powerhouse presence across international markets. The organization is a pioneer in manufacturing high-tech automated systems, climate control solutions, and digital management software tailored for livestock and animal production.
As part of their ongoing strategic evolution in Latin America, they are seeking a highly mature, commercially-driven General Manager to steer their comprehensive operations in Mexico.
The Role & Strategic Challenge
The General Manager will serve as the chief executive for Mexico, holding full P&L accountability, commercial oversight, operational control, and local talent development.
This role requires a perfect equilibrium between long-term strategic vision and an execution-focused mindset. Operating within a complex, multicultural matrix organization, the ideal executive must possess the emotional intelligence and political savvy to manage corporate pressure from regional headquarters effectively, translating global mandates into profitable local execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive Leadership & P&L Ownership: Drive profitable, sustainable growth for the Mexico subsidiary. Manage budgets, financial forecasting, and cash flow while maintaining an impeccably healthy balance sheet.
- B2B Commercial Strategy: Spearhead the national commercial agenda. Cultivate and protect high-level relationships with key accounts, large integrators, top producers, and major stakeholders within the livestock sector.
- Matrix Operational Management: Oversee cross-functional local teams—including Sales, Logistics & Warehousing, Marketing, and HRBP—ensuring seamless alignment with global functional guidelines.
- Corporate Governance & Alignment: Serve as the strategic bridge between Mexico and regional leadership. Successfully navigate corporate expectations, balance regional demands with local market realities, and advocate for country-specific growth strategies.
Candidate Profile
- Executive Track Record: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience as a General Manager, Country Manager, or Business Unit Director within a multinational setup.
- Industry Experience (Non-Negotiable): Proven expertise within the agribusiness sector, livestock production systems (poultry/swine), heavy machinery, industrial capital equipment, animal nutrition, or veterinary pharmaceuticals.
- Languages: Complete professional fluency in both English and Spanish is mandatory. You must be fully capable of negotiating, presenting, and reporting to global executive boards.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Agribusiness, Veterinary Medicine, or related fields. An MBA or advanced management degree is highly preferred.
